Celebrate McKinney Community Band’s 20th Anniversary and our nation’s 250th birthday at our FREE patriotic concert … a special Sunday matinee performance at McKinney North High School!
Join us for a spirited salute to America’s 250th, blending iconic patriotic works with the bold, unmistakable sounds of our country. This special event will also feature a proclamation from the City of McKinney, guest soloists on John Williams’ “Catch Me If You Can,” and loads of American and Texas music that’ll put you in a patriotic mood in time for our country’s 250th birthday.

Join the McKinney Dance Band for a salute to the great big band leaders of the swing era and beyond!
As always, this concert is free with no ticket required. And yes, there will be room to dance, so bring your dancing shoes if you’re so inclined! We’ll see you on May 16.
Please note we are at a new venue for this annual spring concert and moved it from our usual Friday concert date to Saturday. The McKinney Performing Arts Center is closed for renovations so we’re at the Church Street Auditorium, previously known as Heard-Craig Hall.

Ring in the holiday season with the McKinney Community Band during an evening of holiday favorites, singing, and maybe even a special guest, if he has some time free from the North Pole.

Join the McKinney Dance Band for our 10th annual veteran’s salute. We will have swinging patriotic music for dancing or listening and we will also have the Boogie Woogie Trio join us for some wonderful music and this our 10th annual Veteran’s salute at MPAC so you don’t want to miss it! 
Join us on Saturday, Oct. 18, at 7 p.m. for our Fall 2025 concert, Sea Odyssey, featuring music by John Mackey, Percy Grainger, and more! We hope to see you there for a night of wonderful classic band literature that will take you on an adventure on the Wine Dark Sea!


The McKinney Dance Band will salute the music of Frank Sinatra and Count Basie with arrangements by Quincy Jones. The most famous live recording of Big Band Jazz is of Sinatra and Basie at the Sands Casino in Las Vegas. Quincy Jones arranged and conducted those shows and we will feature many songs as recorded on that album… along with a few surprises!

Join the McKinney Community Band on Saturday, April 5, for sn evening of song and dance-related tunes to that’ll surely have you tapping your toes to band works by composers including Bernstein, Ticheli, Grainger, and more.
