Celebrating MCB’s 10th Anniversary

As part of our celebration of 10 years together making music in 2016, the McKinney Community Band thanked our founders, Bill Sleeper and Ed Schwarz, with the presentation of commemorative plaques. While the band rehearsed in one room, Bill and Ed also were treated by the band to a special master class with renowned ed and Bill during master classdrummer Stockton Helbing.

This is what Bill had to say about their class:  “Stockton, at the top of the drumming list, is now playing with Doc Severinsen, and he teaches, writes, produces..all the while being a classy gentleman. Ed and I had the times of our lives, and we’re so grateful to the McKinney Community Band for the extremely special recognition!” Thank YOU, Bill and Ed, for starting an organization that has brought so much joy and friendship to so many folks.
