Chills & Thrills Free Fall Concert

Calling all fans of thrilling (and slightly chilling) family films featuring superheroes, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Disney and more for a concert especially for the little ones and those of us who are young at heart! The musical afternoon will feature an instrument “petting zoo” so the kids can get a close-up look at some of the band instruments … plus a surprise or two. As always, the McKinney Community Band’s concerts are free and open to the public with no ticket required. Join the MCB on Sunday, Oct 1 at 4 p.m. at the McKinney Performing Arts Center, 111 N. Tennessee in historic downtown McKinney.

The McKinney Dance Band, a full-sized dance band, takes the stage to honor our American veterans with a variety of selections sure to get your toes tapping. As always, our concerts are free and open to the public. No ticket needed.

‘American Spirit’ – A Free Concert

Bring your family and friends for an afternoon event for all ages, then enjoy dinner or dessert at any of the wonderful restaurants on the square.

Memorial Day Ceremony

Band at Pecan Grove CemeteryJoin the band as we help honor our fallen heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice while defending our freedom. This event takes place Memorial Day morning and includes addresses by city, county and state elected officials as well as local police and fire personnel, Boy Scouts and more. The band performs patriotic pieces starting around 9:30 a.m. with the ceremony starting at 10 a.m. The band also performs one piece during this very moving program.

Full Band Rehearsal is ON for Tonight!

As of 3:45 p.m., the roads in North Texas were melted enough for us to have band this evening at Scott Johnson Middle School. Please drive safely and we’ll see you there. We only have three rehearsals (including tonight) before our performance on March 21.

Jammin’ in June – MCB Outdoor Patriotic Concert

Join the McKinney Community Band for an outdoor performance hosted by the City of McKinney as part of their annual Jammin’ in June concert series. Seating is lawn or pavement so bring lawn chairs, blankets and picnic baskets to enjoy patriotic tunes at the park’s lakeside amphitheater.
