Land of Liberty: Annual Patriotic Concert

McKinney Band July 1 concert posterThe McKinney Community Band salutes our beloved Land of Liberty at our annual patriotic concert that celebrates all things American – our military, our flag, our founding fathers and our freedom! As always our concerts are free and open to the public. Bring the whole family (our concerts are always-kid friendly!) and enjoy an afternoon on McKinney’s quaint historic downtown square either for lunch before the concert or dinner and dessert after the concert.

FREE TICKETS AVAILABLE/RESERVATIONS SUGGESTED: Due to growing audiences (we LOVE that and thank you!), we’ve been asked by the venue to provide our concert guests with free tickets. We ask that you order one ticket for each person in our party. This will help us better track attendance, which the McKinney Arts Commission appreciates, too, and it allows those with tickets to choose their seats beginning at 3:30 p.m. Those without tickets may enter the theater starting at 3:50 p.m.

Reserve general seating at this LINK.
(You will be taken to a different website, Eventbrite, to complete the transaction.)

If you need assistance or have questions/concerns about accessibility at the concert venue, please email or call the Booking and Patron Services Manager at the McKinney Performing Arts Center, Lara Marsh, at 214-544-4630.

Please enjoy the following YouTube recording of the MCB’s performance Sousa’s Stars and Stripes Forever at our March concert.

Thrills at the Theater: Free Family Concert

The McKinney Community Band presents a FREE family concert full of thrilling, spooky favorites from movies and stage … music to put you in the Halloween spirit. In fact, costumes are encouraged! The instrument petting zoo was so popular with young guests last year, the band will again provide kids the opportunity to see and hold real band instruments.

The concert is free, but with the venue’s limited seating, concertgoers are encouraged to secure a free ticket through Event Brite. Ticket holders will be seated beginning at 3:30 p.m. and those without a ticket may begin seating around 3:45 p.m. Concert starts at 4 p.m. on Sunday, October 14 at the McKinney Performing Arts Center in downtown McKinney.

The concert venue is in the heart of beautiful historic downtown McKinney, providing great opportunities for lunch prior to the concert or dinner after, as well as some pre-concert shopping!
The McKinney Community Band concert is made possible by a grant from the McKinney Arts Commission and other donations made by band supporters.
